Help - COSHH permissions

The eCOSHH system allows you to decide on the access rights to each COSHH form. The author and the Responsible Person (RP) can always see their own COSHH forms. The Responsible Person can choose to set the permissions as:
 
all - any logged in users can see the COSHH form.
department - only users in the same department as the author can see the COSHH form.
group - only users in the selected group(s) can see the COSHH form.
users - only those users listed on the COSHH form (by the author/ RP) can view it.

In addition:

  • DSC level users can view any COSHH form created by a user in their department.
  • Nominated staff in Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing & the System Admin users can see any COSHH form.

 

To set/ change access permissions

The RP set on a particular COSHH form is able to update the permissions on any COSHH form that they are responsible for.

  • view section 12 of the COSHH form

  • select the option you wish in the 'Set as visible to:' drop-down
  • if you select the group option, the screen will update to show a list of the groups you belong to. Tick the box next to each group you want to have access to the COSHH form.

If the COSHH form is awaiting approval, click the approve and email signatories or approve, no email button to save the change.

If the COSHH form is already approved, click the update privacy button
