Identification of those at risk

Section 3.1

Identify those at risk of exposure.  For example all groups of people who could come into contact with the substance(s) i.e. not only staff and students but others such as contractors, visitors and members of the public; consider those involved in cleaning and maintenance tasks - also, certain groups of people are more vulnerable to exposure e.g. pregnant women, individuals with a suppressed immune system and young workers.

• tick the boxes next to any category that applies
• use the others field to indicate any other user groups who could be at risk

Section 3.2

Identify how these groups will be warned of the hazards and risks and tick the relevant box.  Ensure this is recorded in the safe method of work in Section 11.
